Basic Training which is provided by your Membership Marketing
Consultant before attending this training session. Participants who
do not have the book hunt completed, WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO REMAIN
FOR CLASS.
For adult leaders, co-leaders, assistant leaders, group
coordinators/advisors and other interested adults working with girls
in troop/group settings of all age levels, including special
interest groups. Discover the structure of Girl Scouting, find out
where to get help, identify council policies and procedures and
National resources and services, experience the international
organization, and explore “Safety-Wise” set up for the personal
safety and success of each troop or group.

PRE-REQUISITE: Orientation & New Leader Basic Trainings
In order to receive the Daisy or Junior Leader Home Study, please
submit your training registration form to GSCAB, 250 Pinewood Drive,
Tallahassee, FL 32303 with the appropriate fee, and the Daisy or
Junior Leader Home Study training workbook, handouts, and evaluation
form will be mailed or given to you. Upon completion of the home
study, make an appointment with the Training Manager at (850)
544-3411 to review your test, view the age level video, and turn in
your evaluation form. Your training record will be posted once all
steps have been completed and your training card is signed by your
trainer or facilitator. These are required trainings if you cannot
attend a face-2-face class or a class is not available.

NEED: Safety-Wise, the Guide for Daisy Girl Scout Leaders, the Daisy
Girl Scout Activity Book, or
the Junior Leader Guide, Junior Handbook and Badge Book and the
Volunteer Resource Guide

TIME: Approximately 3 Hours, but can be broken down to fit your
schedule.

kindergarten or first grade, our youngest Girl Scouts. Discover
program resources for activities appropriate for Daisy Girl Scouts,
and review the girl/adult partnership with Daisy Girl Scouts.
Discuss developmental characteristics, finances, and safety. Add the
fun of Daisy Girl Scout Learning Petals and you are on your way!
If you are unable to attend any of these scheduled classes, a Daisy
Home Study Blended Training is available.

For new leaders of Brownie Girl Scouts, ages 6 to 8 years old, in
1st through 3rd grades. Discover program resources of
age-appropriate activities for Brownie Girl Scouts and review the
girl/adult partnership with Brownies. The training will also cover
developmental characteristics, finances, and safety. Add the fun of
Brownie Girl Scout awards known as “Try-Its,” and you are on your
way!
