Bronze & Silver Award Workshops for Leaders & Advisors (2 hours)

For any adult interested in working with and advising Junior Girl Scouts and Girl Scouts 11-14 who wish to earn the highest awards for these age levels. Look at the steps to earn the Junior Girl Scout Bronze Award and the Girl Scout Silver Award, as these awards are monitored and approved by the leader/advisor. Discuss project and money-earning ideas. Empower your girls to reach high and help them make a difference in their communities.

Gold Award Advisor Workshop (2.5 hours)

This is an orientation to the Girl Scout Gold Award for troop or group leaders/advisors of girls wishing to earn the highest award in Girl Scouting! Review the steps to the Girl Scout Gold Award Project: the Girl Scout Gold Leadership Award, the Girl Scout Gold Career Award, and the Girl Scout Gold 4B’s Challenge. Next step, the Girl Scout Gold Award Project. Go for it!!

Orientation to the Gold Award for Project Advisors

This workshop orients adults who wish to advise Senior Girl Scouts 15-17 who are working on their Girl Scout Gold Award projects to have an active advisory role during this phase of the Girl Scout Gold Award process. Review the history of the Girl Scout Gold Award. Discuss the roles played by the council, the troop/group advisor, parents, and the Gold Award Mentoring Committee. Review the requirements from the Go For It! Gold Award insert to assist girls in making good projects GREAT!!! Discuss ways to “coach” girls, when to help, when to let go!
