Long Term Volunteering Opportunities

Community Involvement Facilitator: To help promote Girl Scouting
within the council jurisdiction by keeping the leaders aware of
opportunities to serve the community through service projects,
information booths, collaborative efforts with community events and
the like. This volunteer will present the information to the Service
Unit via e-mail, phone call and monthly report at the Service Unit
- Troop Leader: To provide an informal educational program through
progressive learning experiences for girls in a troop or group.
- Service Unit Administrative Chair: To ensure that council
information is provided to volunteers on a regular basis and to keep
them informed of the service unit’s progress in terms of council
goals and objectives.
- Service Unit Adult Development Chair: To ensure that council
Adult Development information is provided to volunteers on a regular
basis and that volunteers are aware of available awards.
- Service Unit Membership Chair: To ensure that the service unit
achieves its membership goal and meets diversity accountabilities.
- Service Unit Secretary: To ensure that service unit minutes and
correspondence is provided to volunteers on a regular and timely
basis.
- Service Unit Treasurer: To maintain accurate financial records
for the service unit.
- Service Unit Product Chair: To direct and manage the product
sales programs within the service unit effectively and efficiently.
- Service Unit Program Chair: To provide for organization and
facilitation of service unit events and camp-outs; ensure that all
members in the service unit have access to participation and that
all program and safety guidelines are met.
