Troop Bank Accounts


Girl Scout with moneyMoney collected for Girl Scout purposes shall be kept separate from personal funds and deposited into the troop’s bank account immediately upon receipt (within one business day). Girl Scout troop bank accounts must be established in the name of the “Girl Scout Council of the Apalachee Bend, Inc., Troop # _______” and must have three (3) authorized signers—two of the signers must be from the troop. The council’s Federal Identification Number must be given to the bank when opening an account and may be obtained from your Membership Marketing Consultant. This number is for bank account establishment only.

A record of the name and branch of the bank, account number, and authorized signers must be sent to the Membership Marketing Consultant at the time the account is established. Additionally, this information must be provided on the troop’s Annual Budget & Finance Report which is due on June 1.

Your troop account may be kept at one of the following banks. These banks generally waive service charges for our troops’ accounts:

Wakulla Bank
Wachovia Bank
Suntrust Bank
