limited to leaders, parents, and girls who are 14 years of age or
older and who have completed 9th grade.
How to Register: Select your workshop from the calendar.
Enclose payment for the course fees with the registration form and
mail or bring it to the Council Office at 250 Pinewood Drive,
Tallahassee, FL 32303. Cash, checks, money orders, and VISA or
Mastercard credit card payments are accepted. Telephone
registrations and faxes are accepted with credit card payment or
when there is no fee. Only ONE name to a registration form, please.
Deadlines: Closing dates are included in the class
descriptions. Please register by 4:30 PM on the date indicated.
Registrations are processed on a first paid basis. The
trainers/facilitators cannot accommodate unregistered participants
as space and materials are limited.
Cancellation Policy: Please call the Training Manager at
(850) 544-3411 if you need to cancel your registration. Refunds and
transfers are only made if the cancellation occurs 36 hours prior to
training start time. In the event the training is cancelled by the
council office, participants will be notified of the cancellation
and will be given priority in the next available course. In the case
of bad weather (i.e., tornado and hurricane warnings and
evacuations), the training will be re-scheduled.
Refund
Policy: Refunds will be made only if cancellation occurs 36
hours prior to the start time indicated on the class description.
Fees can be transferred to the next scheduled training one time as
long as those arrangements have been made ahead of time with the
Training Manager. “No shows” are NOT refunded. If your name is on
the class roster, a place is held for you, and no one can take your
place. If you don’t show up, another person could have attended.
This is critical when classes fill up fast!!!
Training Record Card: At the first training session you
attend, you will receive a training card. Please bring it with you
to all trainings and workshops and ask the trainers to sign it. It
is your personal record of the trainings that you take. This card
may be needed to document training for your Leadership Development
Pin or to show experience for future volunteer opportunities or
professional employment.
Traveling Training: If you are in an outlying area, and
learning opportunities are not in close proximity to you, contact
your Membership Marketing Consultant and arrange for training to
come to you! Most trainings and workshops can travel to any area
with pre-registered participants.
Daytime Training: Daytime trainings are available by special
request with pre-registered participants.
Special Patches for Adults: Segments of our “Leadership
Train” can be purchased to represent most courses taken. A
Leadership Development Pin is available, but is an “earned” award.
Your Training Card is the key to keeping track of the
trainings/workshops you attend.
Child Care: Child care is not provided. Please do not bring
children to any sessions. The council encourages setting up
reciprocal arrangements with other Girl Scout volunteers through
your service units. Older Girl Scouts in your service unit also may
be able to assist with babysitting. |
