Cruisin' on the Bay

The Second Annual Cruisin’ on the Bay is only TWO weeks away. Sponsorship opportunities and tickets ($80/couple/$45 individual) are available.

Food, Fun, and Shopping…You don’t want to miss this fabulous evening of sailing the historic St. Andrews Bay aboard the Lady Anderson Dining Yacht, dancing to your favorite tunes, eating from the scrumptious buffet and doing a little pre-Holiday shopping at the silent auction.

Seats are limited! So, get on board NOW for the Sept. 28 event to support Girl Scouts.  Boarding begins at 6:30 p.m. CST and sailing from 7 – 9:30 p.m., 5550 Lagoon Dr., Panama City Beach.

The Tallahassee Service Center Retail Shop will be open Saturday, September 29th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm ET.  Now is the time to get all of your troop basics such as uniforms, books, and t-shirts!

GSCAB Friendship Festival – Help needed

Interested in hosting a game or activity for the 1st Annual Girl Scout Council of the Apalachee Bend, Inc. Friendship Festival. Tracy Arnold is looking for groups or troops interested in putting together an activity or game for this event (ie, face painting, bean bag toss, etc). If you are interested please contact Tracy Arnold to let her know what you plan on having at this event to avoid duplication. Even if you are unable to provide an activity, come join us for fun, music and friends on Saturday, September 29 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. A Limited number of patches will be given to the first Girl Scouts to attend 4 of the last 10 volleyball games. Your troop can create a passport/scrapbook of the volleyball adventure. Make sure you get the book stamped at the Marketing table to keep track of attendance.

American Canoe Paddling Course

The American Canoe Association will be offering an “Intro. to Canoeing” class: an on the water paddle-stroke workshop (coordinated through the Merrimack Canoe Company).

The Tallahassee Museum’s Halloween Howl Needs Volunteers

Who? Volunteers must be at least 16 years old or planning to volunteer with an adult.
What? They need volunteers to help with both the Haunted Trail and a wide variety of other activities.

Wakulla Veterans’ Day Parade

Wakulla Christian School has extended an invitation for the Girl Scouts to participate in the Veteran’s Day  Parade held in Crawfordville , FL. The parade line up starts at 9am on Saturday November 10, 2007.  The theme is “Show Your Patriotism”. So show your patriotic support girls!
