The Council Retail Shop will be closed for inventory Monday,
December 17 – Friday, December 21.
The Council offices will be closed for the holidays Monday,
December 24 – Wednesday, January 1.
There will be no E-alert during this time.

Get ready, Get Set, Go. Run for the cookies this year will be
held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at TCC.
This is the week prior to the cookie distribution date. NO
EXCUSES! Mark your calendars and grab your running shoes.
The troop with the most participants will win a Pizza Party!
All Girl Scouts receive a patch. Door prizes awarded.
This is a great way to get back in shape after the holidays. Fun
for the entire family. Open to everyone.

The next Oval Office is coming!! I hope you had fun at our
last meeting! We’re going to play with a Nintendo Wii, begin to
plan events for the spring and next fall. Bring a friend, a
calendar, and any news articles you’d like to see in the next
newsletter to this get together!!

The Council Level Adult Awards deadline has been extended to
January 25th, 2008! This will be the last chance to get your
nominations and endorsement letters in to the awards committee!!
Council Level Awards that include the Appreciation Pin, the
Honor Pin, and the Thanks Badges require board approval.

Two “Pathway to the Gold Award” workshops will be held for
girls in January. If you have girls wishing to earn the highest
award in Girl Scouting, sign them up now for this informative
workshop.
January 15th, 2008 at the PC Service Center in Panama City and
Thursday, January 17th, 2008 at the council office in
Tallahassee , the workshops will be held from 6:00 – 8:30 pm.
The workshop is free, for GIRLS ONLY, and contains valuable
information.

Training Course Registration form, one form per person
please!

Junior Winter Core Camp
January 2nd is your last chance to sign up for the Winter Core
Camp!! There are a few spots waiting for you. Don’t miss the fun
while learning camp skills. Campers will learn important camping
and outdoors skills such as knot tying, fire building, outdoor
cooking, and more. Other activities may include canoeing,
archery and hiking, depending on the weather. Adults will be
required to participate in the activities and will be expected
to assist the girls throughout the weekend. The weekend begins
January 18th and ends January 20th.
Cost: $30/girl $30/adult
Fees include personnel, activity supplies, and 4 meals and 3
snacks.

January 26, 2008 from 5PM to 7AM on January 27. Meet the team in
a private session, work with the cheerleaders in a clinic, root
for FSU at the game, and just have a great time. Cost: $20.
