Belk’s Charity Day

We are currently selling tickets for Belk’s Charity Day on May 3rd. Tickets are $5.00 each and all proceeds go to the Council. Shoppers will get their $5.00 back with their fist purchase as well as huge discounts.

Tickets will be available at your Service Unit meetings or contact your MMC or the Tallahassee Service Center to purchase tickets. Don’t forget to purchase tickets for friends and family!

All Belks are participating so family members from other cities can buy tickets and shop at their own Belk. We have Belks in Tallahassee , Destin, and Pensacola as well as in Georgia (Bainbridge etc.) You can go to http://www.belk.com/main/stores.jsp to find a store near you.


Relay For Life

Relay for Life Tallahassee-Looking for troops to help with luminaries from 4:00-5:30PM on May 9, 2008 at the Leon County Fair Grounds. If interested contact Tracy Arnold and the council office 850-386-2131 or tarnold@gscab.org. Pizza and drinks will be provided to girls that assist with this event.

Cadette/Senior Advisor Training

The Panama City Cadette/Senior advisor training scheduled for April 1 is cancelled, but the May 8th class will occur. If you have any volunteers who need Cadette/Senior advisor training, we also have one scheduled in Marianna for Saturday, April 12th from 12:45 - 3:45, location TBA. Please have your volunteers use the Training Course Registration Form to sign up for either of these classes on the West end of the council.

Program Aide Core Training for Girls

Program Aide Core Training is scheduled for May 3, 2008, in Tallahassee at the council office and in Panama City , location TBA!

The Tallahassee training is filling up fast, so sign up now!! And May 3rd is still available for Panama City !! But, don't wait!! If you have girls who have completed 6th grade and who are interested in helping troops or assisting at day camps, this is a great opportunity to learn leadership skills and complete the Program Aide Leadership Project.

Cookies & Tea for Me!

Cookies & Tea for Me! is partnering with GSCAB to provide summer programming for girls. All Brownies and Juniors who attend Cookies and Tea for Me! daycamp will have the opportunity to earn Try-Its and Badges! Cookies & Tea is also available year round for afterschool Scout events and tea parties in which the girls can have fun whilst earning Girl Scout awards.
