Run for the Cookies

Get ready, Get Set, Go. Run for the cookies this year will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at TCC.

This is the week prior to the cookie distribution date. NO EXCUSES! Mark your calendars and grab your running shoes.

The troop with the most participants will win a Pizza Party!

All Girl Scouts receive a patch. Door prizes awarded.

This is a great way to get back in shape after the holidays. Fun for the entire family. Open to everyone.


Cruisin’ the Night Away

Volunteers and Sponsors are needed for the 4th Annual Cruisin the Night Away benefit. The event will be held on April 12 at The Moon and features the sounds of Crooked Shooz. Committees are at work now and there will also be opportunities to help the weeks leading up to the event. Council Level Awards Deadline Extended

The Council Level Adult Awards deadline has been extended to January 25th, 2008! This will be the last chance to get your nominations and endorsement letters in to the awards committee!! Council Level Awards that include the Appreciation Pin, the Honor Pin, and the Thanks Badges require board approval.

January 26, 2008 from 5PM to 7AM on January 27. Meet the team in a private session, work with the cheerleaders in a clinic, root for FSU at the game, and just have a great time. Cost: $20.

American Young Ambassadors Program

Young people can be leaders today, not in some distant tomorrow
The American Young Ambassadors is an unprecedented global leadership program for 30 exceptional high school students, ages 15-18, recognized for the work they have accomplished in their communities. The youth selected for this program are of significant accomplishment academically, athletically or through public service efforts in their community. They will represent the United States as Young Ambassadors- at-large at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , China . By combining the dynamics of leadership, service and learning, the American Young Ambassadors put forth to the world this country’s greatest asset – our youth.

January 26, Saturday: Workshop Birdhouse Building With Fred Dietrich

Learn how to attract more birds to your backyard! Fred Dietrich will assist you in building at least one birdhouse. The workshop will be held at 1309 Piedmont Drive . Adults and children are welcome.
